Austin’s luxury custom homes market revved up last year with nearly $883 million in sales for homes priced at $1 million or more. Austin is growing both in size and prosperity, as nine of Austin’s neighborhoods (comprising nearly 18,000 individuals) rank in the top 1,000 richest neighborhoods in the nation. For the residential real estate market as a whole, there were 27,298 single family homes sold in Austin last year, which is a 19% increase over 2012.
